LGPOA-Austin is a voluntary organization composed primarily of municipal police officers and civilian employees of the Austin Police Department in Austin, Texas. We strive to serve as role models for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth and to build relationships between the police department and the Austin LGBT community by providing a voice for equality and breaking negative stereotypes through education.
